You can’t find happiness unless you find gratitude

happiness and gratitude are linked.

“Happiness is an effect that is experienced because of gratitude.”

You hear it everywhere, “find happiness,” but in reality, happiness is not something you can find because it’s a feeling you experience when you’re grateful for the things you already have in your life.

“You can’t say you’ve no reason to be grateful because everybody has reasons to be grateful.” Below are just some of them.

You have the ability to think for yourself; this is a gift. Although few people use this gift, most people adopt other people’s opinions as their own.

“Your lungs draw in free oxygen to feed your body’s needs.”

“You have a heart in your chest that pumps oxygen rich blood around your body, which keeps you alive.”

“Your skin protects your body from airborne parasites.”

“Your skeleton protects your internal organs and helps you stand upright.”

Everybody has reasons to be grateful

You have a mouth to eat with. A nose to smell with. Ears to listen with. Legs, feet, and toes to get you from a to b in perfect balance.

Arms to carry the big things, fingers to pick up the little things although most men use this function with their noses which annoys most women.

Stephen Hawking would love to exchange bodies with you for a while just to experience once more the wondrous feelings you ignore. The ability to click your fingers and tap your toes is not to be underrated. Try enjoying music without moving. It’s not as much fun.

You can walk, jog and run. Most people learned to ride a bicycle and then drive a car; it was at this point the need for having a fit body seemed to be unnecessary, that is until they notice that they’re spending a lot of money on buying bigger clothes which means they need bigger wardrobes which means more money.

Most people don’t consider leaving the car at home more often, this would have two effects, they would get fitter and save money.

A healthy mind and body

Be grateful for your friends and family; These are the people in your life who love you, they may not always show it, or they may not always be with you, but they exist, they have an emotional bond with you that time and distance cannot break.

“People who exude gratitude also enjoy the company of other people more often because everybody likes to be around people who appreciate life.”

I’ll leave you with one final thought;

“A healthy mind and body will attract everything you need into your life.”
