Needs conquer wants every time

What do you need in life? Food, shelter, clothes, and respect are the only things you need.

The first three are found in the outside world, and the fourth is only found inside of you.

When you respect yourself, you will think everybody else respects you too.

Being grateful for the food you have is necessary; just remember, a lot of people in third world countries don’t know if they will eat today.

Being grateful for the clothes on your back is essential regardless of their condition because they are the best you can afford at this time.

Having a roof over your head is something you should be eternally grateful for because it keeps you dry and protects you from inclement weather conditions.

When you’re grateful for the food you eat, the clothes on your back, and the roof over your head, you will respect yourself.

If you spend your time thinking everybody else is better than you, they have a better home, better clothes and better food, they go on better holidays, they have a better car, they look down on you; your self-respect is based on what everybody else has instead of what you have.

You might want better things, but if you learn to be grateful for the things you already have, you will attract more of those things into your life.

“Your life should always be based on satisfying your needs, not your wants.”
