Your hands and mind are linked

your mind and hands are linked

If you learn to relax your hands, your mind will be relaxed too.

There’s nothing new about the link between the hands and the mind; for as long as babies suffered from pains they could not communicate; mothers have been checking their hands to see if they were relaxed or tense.

As we grow up, we’re inclined to forget the relationship between the hands and mind, however, it’s as real today as it was when you were a child. The only difference is, you have the power to control your hands now.

White knuckle rides, clenched fists, one fingered salute, they are all examples of emotional hand gestures, you’ll probably have noticed your own hands clenching when you’re in pain or sitting in the dentist’s chair as the sound of the drill gets closer to your mouth. You can pick any situation where you’re tense, you’ll find your hands were tense too.

Shaking hands with somebody is a great way of greeting somebody, however, greeting somebody who’s tense is not a good feeling, in fact, it can leave you wondering, “what did I do to them?” Of course, you didn’t do anything, they just weren’t aware of how much emotion they were putting into their hands. I’ll leave you with one final thought:

Learning to relax your hands is easy, you just have to become more aware of what your hands are doing, and you’ll find the more relaxed your hands are, the more relaxed your mind will be too.
