Stories and essays on identity, creative thought, and everyday common sense.

You cannot communicate what you do not understand

To be a good communicator you must pretend your audience knows nothing to begin with. As time passes they will reveal what they actually know and what they will never know..

Groups

  1. The people who understand what you’re saying will nod in agreement and add to the conversation when your finished.
  2. The people who think they know what you’re talking about will interrupt and cut you off.
  3. The people who have no idea will tell you what the problem really is and how to fix it.

One of the groups were born with the common sense required to make practical decisions, the other two groups are politicians and important people. I’ll let you guess which group is which.

People with common sense have the ability to simplify the complicated into words the simple and not so simple can both understand.
