You Will Find Evidence to Back Up Your Beliefs

selffulfilling prophecy is a prediction that directly or indirectly causes people to act in a certain way, some people will say, “I’m brilliant and everybody loves me,” and they will act accordingly, regardless of the truth. The reason being, they spend all their time interpreting events in their lives to back up what they believe.

Of course that belief is rare, most people spend their valuable time looking for the flaws they possess rather than their good points and that leads them to look for validation of their beliefs. They too will interpret other people’s words as negative even if the other person didn’t mean in that way.

Example: People who believe they are ugly, (even though there is no such thing) will walk down the street and see a stranger give them a glance and look away, they could interpret that as, I’m not attractive enough to warrant a good look. What really happened is the stranger was looking at the sign in the window behind them, and did not see them at all.

  • If you believe in yourself, you will see it in the eyes of everybody you meet, if you don’t, you will see that too.
