The world is always changing. Scientists are constantly challenging previously held beliefs about our origins. To date, there are no definite facts, but there is a strong inclination that what was believed over two thousand years ago wouldn’t be believed today. Today’s people are more skeptical. They’re inclined to want proof before they take far-fetched stories to heart.
This is not to say there is no place for religion, there’s many a person who lived a better life out of fear than out of the goodness of their heart. Of course, some of those people were not priests, as we know from stories that have been circulating over the last number of years. For those priests, I hope there is a special place for them.
I’ll leave you with two of my favourite quotes,
“Now, now my good man, this is no time to be making enemies.”
(Voltaire on his deathbed in response to a priest asking him that he renounce Satan.)”
― Voltaire
“I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn’t, than live as if there isn’t and to die to find out that there is.” ~Albert Camus
The question of religion will be left to people who are more knowledgeable than I about the topic. I’ll remain open-minded on the subject until some definitive proof is found or I find out personally.
