Be prepared for life every day

Put in the homework it eliminates the hard work

“Proper preparation prevents a poor performance,” a quote that encompasses every aspect of your life because when you’re prepared for what life throws at you; you will never know personal disappointment. That doesn’t mean you will not be disappointed in other people, that’s their preparation, not yours.

So how do you prepare for life: The first and most important step is preparing your mind and body. Exercise both with equal passion because if your body isn’t fit for purpose your mind will only get you so far. There are hundreds of posts on this site that provide tips on how to keep a positive mindset. I’ve only written one post on how exercise strengthens the mind but I think that’s probably one of the more important posts.

be prepared for tomorrow

Preparation does sound like it’s something you do before a task but, life happens every day so you have to be prepared today for what tomorrow will bring. It’s a life-long philosophy.

The better prepared you are for tomorrow the easier today will be.

Step two is the easy step because once you’re prepared, every task you need to accomplish will be done easily.

The only question you need to answer is:

what do you need to know to accomplish the task and where will you find that information? I’ll leave you with a few of my favourite quotes on being prepared;

  • “I will prepare and one day my chance will come.” ~Abraham Lincoln.
  • “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” Abraham Lincoln.
  • “Opportunity does not waste time with those who are unprepared.” ~Idowu Kovenikan.
