Ordinary people have interesting stories too

“You know me, not my story.” Is a quote many people will understand.

From the outside, they seem to be well-adjusted adults. However, they’ve overcome battles only they know about. Those battles will mostly have been fought between their ears because of the inferiority complexes they’ve inherited from their parents, or the belief that other people will see them as not good enough for any number of reasons, (colour, religion, intelligence, ethnicity, gender, family, economic,) are just some of them. However, they all have one thing in common, they grow up believing they always have something to prove to somebody else.

The stories of how these ordinary people overcame their internal demons are the interesting stories behind every film and book written about somebody who made good. “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.” ~Anon. Is a quote that springs to mind every time I hear about somebody who has overcome their internal demons and found peace.

Remember: Every ordinary person has an interesting story to tell that will remind people they are not alone. All they need is to be brave enough to share it. I’ll leave you with one final thought.

Inspirational books are written by ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Have you got an interesting story?
