Something New Every Day

Stories and essays on identity, creative thought, and everyday common sense.

Life happens in moments, not minutes

concentrate on your next breath

If you only concentrate on the breath you’ll take tomorrow, you’ll not live long enough to take it; it’s the same with every goal you have in life, that’s why it’s so important to concentrate on what you are doing now.

A good example is: Everybody is capable of reaching the finishing line of a marathon, the only difference between them will be the time it’ll take them to reach it because some people are more prepared than others.

Remember: Life is a marathon where the finishing line is guaranteed to everybody. The secret is to concentrate on each step you take, not on finishing the race.
