“A lady will not have to tell you she’s a lady.” ~Old adage.
It’s a saying that’s as old as time and as true today as it was yesterday. You don’t have to tell people who you are, your actions will do that for you. That’s not to say your words are not important but they will only work if they’re followed up by consistent action.
When people describe you, they don’t begin with, “he/she said,” hopefully they begin by using some of the following values to describe your character.
- Dependable.
- Reliable.
- Loyal.
- Well mannered.
- Humorous.
- Positive.
- Generous.
- Open-minded.
- Consistent.
- Honest.
- Honourable.
If you’re lucky enough to meet somebody with all those characteristics; enjoy the time you spend in their company. I’ll leave you with a quote that embraces true character:
“People of character do the right thing even if no one else does, not because they think it will change the world but because they will not be changed by the world.” ~Michael Josephson.
