Like a moth drawn to a flame that will surely kill it if it flies too close people are drawn to darkness which can have a similar effect on them.
The moth can blame its behaviour on its need to fly at an angle to the nearest light. People, however, have nobody to blame but themselves. They intentionally set out to find things that match their thoughts.
People who find people and things offensive are looking for things that offend them. On the other hand, people who look at life and see things that bring them joy are doing the very same thing except they’re looking for the light, not the darkness.
You have a choice to make every morning when you awake, you can ask yourself.
“What shall I be offended by today?” Or “What will bring joy into my life today?“
If you spend enough mornings thinking about the latter question, you will find nothing offensive enters your life. I’ll leave you with one final thought.
Your attitude to life will determine what you invite into your life.
