Friends, enemies and family will not give you impartial advice

Neither your friends, enemies or family can give you impartial advice because they will always confuse who you were yesterday, with who you are today..

friends enemies and you

Why can’t you ask those people? People change, it’s not noticeable to the people nearest to them because the changes happen so gradually.

It’s like the leaves on the trees, one spring morning you notice the buds on the bare branches, the next thing you notice is the tree in full bloom and there’s a mother bird hiding her chicks in a nest behind them.

Profit does seem like an odd term to use, however, it’s fairly accurate.

  • Your friends profit by getting closer to you by telling you what they think you want to hear.
  • Your family profit by not having to deal with the outcome of their advice if they’re wrong.
  • Your enemies profit by seeing you upset by their truth.

The only way to receive impartial advice is to ask somebody who’s impartial. And yes, there’s a good possibility you’ll pay for that advice, however, you’ll receive the advice you need to hear. The thing to remember is.

You may not like the advice you receive.
