If you spend your life going round and round in a goldfish bowl type environment, you’re not going to change your life in any meaningful way.
The reason being: if you continue repeating the same mistakes with different people, you’re likely to miss the opportunities lining up in front of you. That’s why it’s so important to cut the ties from your past and let them go.
When I said cut your ties, what I meant was you have to take your attention away from your past mistakes. You’ve learned your lesson, you know what to look out for in the future.
The thing to remember is that you have to be prepared to make different mistakes with different people. Life’s not perfect, and it never will be, but mark my words, it will be perfect enough, one day. I’ll leave you with one of my favourite quotes.
