What have I learned in 54 years

Today is my birthday, I’ve been on this planet for 54 years. I’ve learned enough to realise how little I know, and I don’t know if it’s a good thing or not, but I can’t go back now. The following are a few of the things I’ve learned.

What have I learned about myself during that time?

If you spend enough time observing your emotions, you will identify what you want in your life.

Not a lot.

What I’ve learned about other people.

I don’t know a lot about other people. The one thing I’m certain of is that I don’t want to change how they think unless they want to change what they think about.

What I’ve learned about the world.

I can’t change the world, I can only change the world I influence, my world.

It would seem like I haven’t learned a lot. However, you’d be surprised by how much I had to experience to learn that much.
