Survival can be a success story

In this life, you’ve got to define your own idea of success because if you don’t, you could spend your whole life chasing after someone else’s idea of success.

Most capalists will agree that Elon Musk is a success story. However, the surfer dude who lives down by the beach, enjoying the waves and the sunshine when he can, wouldn’t swap his lifestyle for Elon’s life because he knows what real success is for him.

The person who enjoys their own privacy does not dream of becoming a star on a reality television programme. In fact, they probably won’t even watch those programmes, whereas people who dream of being famous will be glued to their television screens.

Some people’s idea of success is waking up in the morning feeling ready for a new day, going through their daily routine without any pain, stress or anxiety, and then going to bed that night and falling into a deep relaxing sleep.

In essence, it’s important to determine what you want out of the life you’ve been given. The people who tell you, “You’re not successful unless you do this or have that,” are selling you their idea of success, not yours.

I’ll leave you with one final thought.

There are nearly eight billion people on this planet, and each of them are capable of achieving success. They just need to define what success means to them.

P.S. The population of the United States is approximately 330 million. If everyone’s idea of success was to become the president of that country, approximately 330 million people wouldn’t achieve their dream of success.
