Every responsible adult knows the truth

My dear friend, you will never know peace until you accept you’re responsible for your whole life, even the parts when you were too young to be held responsible for your actions. Why? Because it’s impossible to forgive other people for their actions, that’s their responsibility. However, it’s always within your power to forgive yourself.

There’s a theory that life is predetermined. You knew exactly what you were signing up for when you chose your current form, which means you couldn’t change your life even if you wanted to. It’s as good a theory as any for leaving your past behind you and moving forward. You never know, maybe the rest of your life will be the best of your life.
