Do they really need to know

“Nobody was hurt by your silence.” Your words contain a seed that will grow into a flower or a weed. Your words or the listener’s perception of your words will determine which seed will germinate. The only control you have is whether you speak or not. Remember, you don’t have to participate in every conversation to which you are invited.

Do they really need to know? It’s a question you should always ask yourself, especially if you’re talking about a sensitive subject or talking to a sensitive person.

I’ll leave with a story I read online.

A driver asked his passengers to please stop screaming when they were going around corners as it made him nervous. It was the passenger’s choice to get into the car in the first place.
