Everything and everyone can be replaced. We live in a time where technology is replacing people faster than at any other point in history and it’s only going to get faster. Virtual reality is also replacing the need to travel to experience life. Online platforms are replacing real interaction between people. The world seems to be travelling on a path of isolationism, that’s good news for introverts but not so good for people who enjoy genuine interaction. It begs the question, what will the world be like in one hundred years from now? I don’t know the answer, I can only hope there’s still a need for a few close friends.
