The online world is a distraction

The concept behind the matrix was that people were plugged into a computer program, and that was their life. There’s not a great deal of difference between the matrix and the internet as it’s used today by millions of people. You have to ask the question, is this a fad or a trend? The way businesses are using technology to create realistic online experiences, they believe it’s a trend. However, people will have the last word, and they may realise a life can not be lived on computer program.

The question is, what did people do for entertainment before the arrival of television and the internet? The simple answer is that they used their imaginations. For example; people wrote and told stories to frighten children, and there I say adults at Halloween, given the time of year. The story of, do you remember the time we went trick or treating online? Will never create the same memories.

You can’t remove technology, and nobody in their right mind would want to because it has improved the majority of people’s quality of life, however, it shouldn’t be used to continuously distract people from living their real life.

Remember, everything in moderation is good for you.
