They say that comparison is the thief of joy. However, that’s not always the case.

They say that comparison is the thief of joy. However, that’s not always the case.

The physical world will attract my attention. However, it won’t keep it for long if nothing is going on behind the scenes. Or to put it a different way.

A boring book with a beautiful cover will remain unread by people who appreciate a good story.
There’s a good reason for not judging a book by its cover, and that is it can lead to disappointment.
Your purpose in life is to find your own set of beliefs.
It shouldn’t be necessary for other people to believe in them too, and you shouldn’t be offended when they don’t because it will happen. Remember, since the beginning of recorded history, there have been three approximately eighteen thousand beings, animals and objects who have been worshipped as gods. I’m sure that even the most open-minded people would find it difficult to believe in all of them.
Of course, your set of beliefs will encompass a great deal more than religion. They will include beliefs about all the social issues that divide modern humanity. Politics, culture, ethnicity, gender, wealth, manners, education, occupation, global warming, and criminality, to name but a few.

Where do your beliefs come from?
Your set of beliefs can be, but don’t have to be influenced by where you were born. You can inherit your beliefs from your parents. Your friends and education will influence your thoughts. Your beliefs will also be influenced by the general and social media you’re exposed to if you don’t go out of your way to find alternative points of view.
Your set of beliefs can be set in stone or they can be open to question, that depends on the kind of person you are. I’ll leave you with one final thought.
There’s nothing wrong with sharing your beliefs with other people. However, you should respect people enough to know when to stop sharing.
Imagine you’re on a path of life that regardless of what you do or don’t do, it will remain unchanged. That’s right, you were born to live the life you’re currently living. Everything in your past was meant to happen exactly the way it did, regardless of how good or bad it was. Everything in your future has already been written. It will unfold with or without your consent. There will be highs and lows because that’s the nature of being human. You can call it the will of God, fate, or any other term that’s used to describe your purpose for living, and each of them will be correct. Yes, you may believe you have the free will to do as you like, but that was also programmed into your psyche before you began your journey as spiritual being enjoying a very human existence.

Now, you can stop imagining it because that’s your reality. If you don’t believe me, show me how you’re going to change your future because I know you don’t have the power to change your past.
Nobody is born with knowledge. It’s something people acquire as they travel through life. It’s for that reason that there’s no such thing as original thought. That’s not to say that everyone possesses the same knowledge or thoughts for that matter because while some people soak up knowledge everywhere they go, others are inclined towards avoiding it. I’ll leave you with one final thought.

Everything I share is the accumulated knowledge I have acquired during my life.
