What would happen if everyone were to concentrate on the things that improved their quality of life for four years? I think it would make a huge difference to everyone, not because of what improves people’s quality of life but because of removing the things that take away from people’s quality of life.
Quality of life is impacted by the following.

- Personal safety.
- Health.
- Emotional wellbeing.
- Work-life balance.
- Relationships.
- Financial security
- Hobbies and interests.
- A place to call home.
So, how could people as a whole improve their quality of life? In a perfect world, the governments would have in place rules and regulations to ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience a good quality of life, a living wage, availability of housing, a good health service, and so on. However, we don’t live in a perfect world, so it’s up to each individual to take responsibility for their own quality of life.
So, how do people improve their own quality of life?
The first question that people need to ask themselves is, how is the information I’m seeing and hearing improving my quality of life? Remember, you have the power to ignore or disregard anything that’s irrelevant. However, information that improves your quality of life should be embraced. In fact, you should actively search for similar information.
People also need to ask themselves one more important question. How is what I’m about to do or say going to improve my quality of life? If the answer is negative, people should reconsider whether they should do it or say it at all. However, if the effect is going to be positive, rock on. The most important part of the process is understanding that everything you do has consequences. I’ll leave you with an old saying.
The only things you can’t undo in life are the actions you’ve taken and the effect of your words once they’ve been heard by someone else’s ears.
