You are an island in an archipelago

Contrary to popular belief, you are an island. The only difference between you and a real island is that you’re floating along on the ocean current of time called life.

Your island will have inhospitable cliffs or welcoming beaches. Other islands will be comparable to your island, but nothing compares to you because you are unique.

If your island has inhospitable cliffs on every side, you will know who you are because the greatest understanding occurs in isolation. However, very few people will know who you are because they can’t approach you. The people who do get past your barriers will be surprised with what they find.

If your island has welcoming beaches on every side, you may never know yourself because you will be too busy entertaining everyone else.

The perfect island will have cliffs and beaches. The friends and family beach will be the most welcoming. The acquaintance and business beaches will be similar but not as welcoming. You will always need to have sides that have steep cliffs because with all the will in the world, you’re not going to like everyone you meet in this world so you will need to have barriers that are strong enough to be respected.

So, what kind of island are you?
