Anything that’s difficult to read will teach you something about yourself. It works on the same principle as when you allow yourself to get angry or annoyed by the words and actions of other people where their behaviour doesn’t directly impact your life. You’re not really upset with them. Somehow, you managed to associate what they’re doing with your self-esteem.

You see, if you know yourself, understand and accept yourself for who you are, then nothing anyone else can say will impact how you feel about yourself. For example, if you know in your heart that you’re a generous person, then people calling you a mean old ******* will have no effect on you. However, if you have any doubts about your generosity, then their words will hurt.
Knowing, understanding, and accepting yourself will give you permission to be yourself. You see, there’s no right or wrong way to be who you are. As long as you’re happy with your behaviour that’s all that matters. However, if the law or other people don’t accept your behaviour, you’ll have to deal with them. If it’s the law, then you will probably have to change your behaviour or learn to be happy with yourself in jail. If it’s other people, then you will need to determine whether you should change your behaviour or stop interacting with that person. You see, you don’t have the power to change anyone else except yourself. I’ll leave you with one final.
If you do or change nothing, you will spend a lifetime being frustrated by your internal dialogue.
