Real people exist. They are the people who try to see the world as it is, as opposed to the world they would like to see, or the world as described by other people. Real people will possess the following traits:

- Analytical skills: They have the ability to see the picture and then break it down, and critically analyse its component parts.
- Open-mindedness: They will endeavour to view each situation from as many angles as possible.
- Curiosity: Their willingness to learn about the world doesn’t end. Their motto is that every day is a school day.
- Scepticism: Nothing is ever accepted at face value.
- Problem-solving abilities: They identify problems, then identify the source and provide solutions that can be evaluated.
- Effective communicators: Their written and spoken word are easily understood by their audience.
- Self-awareness: They’re aware of their own personal and cultural biases in order to mitigate their influence on their decision-making.
- Evidence-based thinking: They understand that if everything that’s been written about the human skeleton was forgotten and destroyed. When the information was rediscovered, the human skeleton would be the exact same as it is today.
- Absence of knowledge: They understand that they will never have complete knowledge, where people’s thoughts and opinions are involved.
- Attention to detail: They pay attention to small differences to identify inconsistencies or gaps in logic. If a computer can be used to provide consistent results, a computer will be used.
- Fluid mindset: Nothing is set in stone. If new facts are provided to disprove previously held beliefs. Those facts will be adopted.
In essence, real people possess a combination of intellectual skills, attitudes, and habits that allow them to view the world in a thoughtful and rational way.
As I mentioned in the beginning, real people exist. However, there’s a good chance you’ll not encounter too many of them during your lifetime because they’re very scarce, and they tend to be introverts.
