Wealth does not guarantee happiness

In a small, picturesque town nestled between rolling hills and lush green forests, there lived an elderly man named Samuel. Samuel was known for his wisdom, his kind heart, and his  ever-present smile that seemed to light up even the gloomiest of days. Despite his age, he had an energy about him that baffled those much younger than he was. People often wondered what kept him so vibrant and full of life.

One crisp autumn morning, a young man named Jack, disheartened with the monotony of his life, decided to seek Samuel’s advice. Jack had recently graduated from university and secured a decent job, but he felt an overwhelming sense of emptiness. He would wake up every morning trying to find excuses for not going to work instead of looking forward to the day ahead of him.

As Jack approached Samuel’s quaint little cottage, he found the old man tending to his garden, humming a cheerful tune. Samuel looked up, his eyes twinkling, and invited Jack to sit with him on a wooden bench under a sprawling oak tree.

“Samuel,” Jack began, “I don’t understand how you do it. Every day, you seem so happy and full of life. What’s your secret? How do you find a reason to get up every morning?”

Samuel’s smile widened as he leaned back, gazing at the vibrant leaves swaying gently in the breeze. “Ah, Jack,” he said, his voice warm and soothing, “the secret lies in finding something that fills your heart with joy and purpose. Let me tell you a story.”

Samuel began his tale, recounting a time many years ago when he, too, had felt lost and devoid of purpose. He spoke of a period in his life when he was a young man, full of dreams but unsure of which path to take. One day, while wandering aimlessly through the town, he encountered an old artist named Eleanor.
