The Universe’s Relentless Humility Program

“Apparently, life comes with a free lifetime subscription to ‘Reality Checks Unlimited.’

No cancellation policy. No customer support. Just regular reminders that I’m not quite the main character I thought I was.”

  • That time I challenged someone to an arm wrestle and was defeated by a person whose workout routine is “sometimes carries groceries one trip.”
  • *That time I raced someone who, I can only assume, does marathons recreationally for fun.
  • That time, I tried to debate a toddler about eating crayons… and accidentally lost the argument on technical grounds.

Years later, you’d think I’d have learned humility.
Instead, I just have a punch card that says, “Congratulations, you’re halfway to Enlightenment! (Please trip again to continue.)”

Is it just me, or does personal growth come with way more bruises than advertised?

Sometimes, I think life is an endless journey of discovering other people’s hidden strengths.
