Always write about topics you’re interested in because if you’re not interested in the material you’re writing about, nobody else will be either.

Let’s be honest. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of writers in the world. The majority of the stories they write will never be seen, let alone be published. If the author has a blogging website like this one, their stories may be read by themselves and possibly a few friends if they’re lucky.
Just imagine, there could be millions of beautifully written articles just waiting to be discovered in a dusty old attic somewhere that were written by people who just enjoyed writing stories.
And that’s why it’s important to write for yourself and let your audience find you.
