You’ve got to trust yourself enough to live the life you were meant to live.
Everybody makes mistakes because we’re not born with complete knowledge of how to learn without making mistakes.
Yes, our parents will try to ensure we don’t make the same mistakes they made, they may or may not be successful because children have a habit of copying what their parents do, not learning from what they say.
Our teachers will teach us many things we may not appreciate at the time, however, that will only get us so far; after that we have to make our own mistakes, learn from them and then pass that knowledge onto the next generation.
At the end of the day you have to trust yourself enough to know you will be alright, you will survive your mistakes to make many more of them as long as you don’t make the biggest mistake of them all.
And that is; stop living because you’re afraid of making mistakes.
I’ll leave you with a couple of my favourite quotes,
- “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” ~Albert Einstein
- “Failure is the key to success, each mistake teaches us something.” ~Morihei Ueshiba
- “A mistake should be your teacher, not your attacker. A mistake is a lesson, not a loss. It is a temporary, necessary detour, not a dead end.” ~Anon.
- “Celebrate every mistake you learn not to repeat.” ~Anon.
