If you believe that nobody is talking about you, then you will be right more times than you will be wrong because the majority of people are too busy wondering if they are being talked about to talk about you.
Of course, if you happen to be famous, that changes everything. You will certainly be talked about, but people will not know anymore than the words they read online or in the tabloids. What you’re like when you close your front door, like everyone else, will remain a mystery to them.
If you happen to be famous and pretty, then young women will be talking about you, wondering how they can be like you. Young men, on the other hand, won’t be talking about you. However, they will be thinking about you from time to time.
If you happen to be Donald Trump, then people will be talking about you, but luckily enough, a lot of it will be fake news.
If you happen to be Vladimir Putin, then you will be talked about in an interesting way. The people close to you will never disclose what they say about you unless it’s complimentary, and you probably don’t care what everybody else is saying.
If everyone had the same mindset as Vladimir regarding what other people are saying about him, the world would be better off because the majority of personal problems are caused by people who believe that they are so important that people are talking about them behind their back.
I’ll leave you with an old saying that’s very relevant to your everyday life. “What’s said about you behind your back is none of your business.”
