Something New Every Day

Stories and essays on identity, creative thought, and everyday common sense.

Life is what you’re experiencing as you’re waiting for the life you think you should be living to arrive. You see, the majority of people are waiting for something in their future to make their lives meaningful. The thing to remember is that if they’re not careful, they might miss out on life altogether.

If I could go back in time and give my younger self some advice about the meaning of life, it would be to laugh when you can, celebrate small victories, ask your questions, take calculated risks, concentrate fully on every task and live as much as possible in the moment because if you don’t, you may run out of time.

The last and most important piece of advice would be to think about all the possible outcomes of each action you take and every word you speak, or in other words.

Learn enough from the mistakes you make that you don’t repeat them more than once.
