Something New Every Day

Stories and essays on identity, creative thought, and everyday common sense.

It’s not good to dislike people because it makes things personal and clouds your ability to see the full picture. Disliking someone often leads to resentment, which can harm relationships and block opportunities for understanding, growth, or reconciliation. It’s far more constructive to address specific actions or behaviours you disagree with rather than forming a negative opinion about the entire person. This mindset fosters empathy, encourages resolution, and helps maintain peace within relationships and communities. After all, people are more than their mistakes.

Remember, it’s far healthier for your inner peace to dislike the actions of others than to dislike them.
