Something New Every Day

Stories and essays on identity, creative thought, and everyday common sense.

In a world where “perfection” is constantly marketed to us, let’s take a moment to reflect: nobody and everybody is perfect—just the way they are.

The truth is, you were born whole. Flaws, quirks, and all, you are already enough. But society and businesses? They thrive on convincing us otherwise. They sell us “solutions” to problems they often create.

Think about it:

Your skin isn’t flawed; it’s perfectly natural, and it’s designed to protect your internal organs. But the beauty industry says, “Buy this cream.”

Your body isn’t wrong; it’s yours to enjoy as you see fit. But the fitness industry screams, “Fix yourself.”

Your lifestyle isn’t inadequate; it’s unique. But brands insist, “You Need To Upgrade your life.” (You don’t)

You see, they profit from our doubts, not our confidence.

But here’s the secret they don’t want you to know: You don’t need fixing. Your value isn’t tied to someone else’s ideal. True perfection lies in authenticity—in being unapologetically YOU.

So wear your quirks proudly. Own your so-called “imperfections.” Because once you embrace yourself, you’ll realize the only thing that needed changing was the belief that you weren’t already enough.

Perfectly imperfectand thriving.
