Through the Years: A Life Still in Motion

Time reshapes us—not by an erasure, but by slow transformation. Our steps may soften, and our focus may shift, yet what lives at our core endures. We are not lost to the years; we are distilled by them. For example;

1. I’m not as bold as I once was,
but my courage has deepened.

2. I’m not as carefree,
but joy finds me in quieter ways.

3. I don’t speak as loudly,
yet my words hold more weight.

4. I move more slowly,
but never without intention.

5. I trust more carefully,
yet I still choose to believe in other people.

6. I’ve settled,
but my dreams still find me.

7. I question my certainty,
yet I keep seeking answers.

8. Fear visits more often now,
but so does resolve.

9. My energy wanes,
yet the embers remain.

10. I am not who I was—
but every version of me remains.

In the mirror of time, I see change, not loss, but layers of growth:

Growth isn’t always loud—
sometimes it speaks in subtleties:
a softened judgment, a longer pause, a kinder truth.

This is the gift of reflection—
to realize we have not aged away from ourselves, but into who we were always meant to be.

And so I walk forward—
not older, but truer.
